I don't have a master's degree.

I never went to college at all.

I didn't even graduate high school.

Which means relying on a degree and an impressive resume wasn't on the table. So I made a decision early: I was going to be an entrepreneur.

My first business failed.

Not because the idea was bad. It was good.

Not because I didn't work hard. I did.

But I didn't know how to grow it.

I learned this:

Even with expertise and effort, you don't get far without a growth engine.

So I made 3 decisions.

  1. First, I read every book I could on marketing, took every program I could afford (and a few I couldn't afford), and studied what was working in the real world.
  2. Second, I hired a coach. Because I understood, even then, that learning how to grow yourself is just as critical as learning how to grow a business.
  3. Third, I said "yes" a few years later when that coach I hired asked me to help her grow her coaching business.

Those three decisions created a ripple that's still expanding. Strategies I've designed and campaigns I've led have generated more than:
